Coalition News Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week November 16-22, 2008 2008 One Day Count (ODC) RESULTS from the January 24, 2008 ODC are now available. There were 1,370 person living on the streets, in emergency shelters or transitional housing, plus 395 counted living with friends and/or family. Total of 1,765 homeless persons counted on 1/24/2008. Mission: Spokane Homeless Coalition is a collaborative effort of the individuals and agencies who address the challenges of homelessness in our community.  Through education, legislative advocacy, mutual support and the sharing of resources we strive to prevent homelessness as well as increase the ability of the community to respond to individual needs.
